Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I really need a bartender?

    • There are many reasons why you show hire a bartender but the most important of all is that you get to enjoy your own event. We make sure guest are served responsibly, the bar is kept clean, the line moves smoothly and you do not over spend on alcohol. A professional bartender will protect you and your guest. According to Pennsylvania's Dram Shop Law, any establishment or licensed individual who gives alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person can be legally held responsible for injuries and damages that person might cause. This doesn't just mean bars and restaurants – private events are included too.

  • How many bartenders do I need?

    • Industry standards are 1 bartender for up to 75 guest depending on drink menu/options.

  • Do you provide any alcohol?

    • Due to Pennsylvania state law, we can not provide any alcohol for your event. We are a "dry hire". All clients must provide their own alcohol or obtain through a 3rd party with a liquor license. We do however offer a personal shopper for an additional fee.

  • What is your payment/refund policy?

    • We required a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your date. Deposit is non-refundable after 30 days from time of booking. The remaining 50% is due 10 calendar days before the event. Payment can currently be made by Zelle, Square invoice, Cashapp or Venmo. No cash, check, money orders. Cash is accepted for tipping bartenders.

  • Are you licensed, registered and insured?

    • We are a registered LLC with the state of Pennsylvania. We carry $1 million in both general and liquor liability coverage and can supply a certificate of insurance (COI) upon hire if requested. There is no such thing as a "licensed bartender" and it is not required by PA state law. Licensed generally means "certified". All bartenders are professional trained and RAMP certified.

  • Do you need a liquor license?

    • A liquor license and permit is only required by the state of Pennsylvania if you plan on selling alcohol for a profit. For the Love of Drinks LLC does not sell or provide any alcohol. Mobile bartending services run as a BYOB. You supply the alcohol, we serve it. You may contact the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for more information about obtaining a special permit.
